Students can play media CDs/DVDs on our workstations —such as a music CD, a movie CD, a PBS video, or whatever —but cannot run interactive programs. Those require access to the hard disc for a software installation (unless —on the off chance—the workstation happens to have the software necessary for the interactive CD).

For obvious reasons, the Library can't give our users access to the hard disc and the level of administrative computing necessary to run interactive programs. If an instructor requires an interactive program for the course, she or he should check with Ekaterina, IT, or others to find out what is necessary to run the program.
