Regular library hours and holiday schedules are listed at http://library.sacredheart.edu/calendar_hours. Current library hours are summarized in a sidebar on the library homepage (http://library.sacredheart.edu/). Library hours generally follow the academic calendar, with extended hours during exam periods and reduced hours during breaks between semesters and university holidays.
Specific information about library emergency closings is posted ont the library homepage "News & Events" column in the upper right side of the page (http://library.sacredheart.edu/). Library Director Gavin Ferriby posts these announcements after consulting with administrative and campus safety officers and sends e-mail announcements and Twitter messages about emergency closings. See also Campus Safety's Inclement Weather posting: http://www.sacredheart.edu/officesservices/publicsafety/inclementweather/.
During severe weather and other dangerous conditions, students are encouraged to "shelter in place" in their dorms or apartments. During storm closure, library electronic resources (journals, databases, ebooks, LibGuides, etc.) can provide useful material for your projects. You'll also find some "just for fun" links on our site; take a look at some interesting LibGuides (links below)
Librarians will try to respond to LibAnswers questions and e-mails from off-site.
Look for updates on the Library website.
